How to use the number search maker

Choose a grid size and difficulty, and a fresh number search appears instantly — every puzzle is different, and no two puzzles on a page share the same number placements. The number list is grouped by digit count so you can start with the shortest numbers.

The rules of number search

  1. Every number on the list appears exactly once in the grid, spelled with consecutive digits.
  2. Numbers run in straight lines — across, down or, depending on the difficulty, backward and diagonally.
  3. Numbers never turn corners, and they never overlap another number on the list.
  4. Digits in the grid can be shared between a listed number and the random filler digits around it — that's part of the challenge.
  5. When you find a number, mark it — circle it on paper, or click its first and last digit on screen.
